Our commitment
The Mercer County Landlords Association is committed to making its website and member portal accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA — meaning some parts of the content have not yet been fully tested or do not yet fully meet every success criterion. We do not claim full certification, and we actively track and remediate known gaps rather than presenting this as a finished state.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (including a
<main>region on every page), headings, and lists for screen-reader navigation - A working "skip to content" link on every page
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on interactive elements
- Ongoing color-contrast review, with fixes applied as issues are found
- Labels on form fields, including visually-hidden labels for icon-only search/filter controls
- Support for
prefers-reduced-motionto minimize animation - Responsive, mobile-friendly layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling
- ARIA roles and live regions where dynamic content updates, reviewed as functionality changes
Known limitations
We are aware some interactive components (e.g., modals and menus) may not yet have complete keyboard/screen-reader support in every scenario. If you hit a barrier, please tell us — see Feedback below — and we will prioritize a fix.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time certification. We regularly review new and updated content, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
